Artistic Director

Artistic oversight of company vision and production quality.

Ensures the artistic integrity of all projects undertaken by the company

Final authority on all creative decisions made by the company, which include but are not limited to the selection of the season, the appointment of directors and designers, policy changes made by the board, and the implementation of special projects throughout the season.

Provides creative guidance throughout the rehearsal process.

Develops broad-minded goals for the company and outlines detailed strategies for achieving those goals.

Co-director of the organization, alongside the Managing Director and Production Manager. Ultimately, the Executive Staff are accountable to University Players members and the university for the quality of our organization.

Strong presence at all UP events, technical rehearsals, production meetings, and performances.

Liaison between University Players and the faculty of the Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance.
Managing Director
-
Co-director of student organization, alongside Artistic Director and Production Manager. Ultimately, the Executive Staff are accountable to University Players members and the university for the quality of our organization.

Director of logistics, finances, and task management for the theatre organization.

Oversees the Social and Membership Director and coordinates communication with UP members.

Collaborates with the Financial Director to set the season budget and communicate financial and reimbursement protocol with design teams.

Responsible for the bank account, with the help of the Financial Director.

Responsible for upholding the contractual relationships between student artists and the company.

Collaborates with the Financial Director to handle reimbursements.

Responsible for appointing design teams with the Artistic Director and Production Manager

Establishes and maintains relationships with Indiana University factions that include, but are not limited to, Funding Board, BeInvolved, IU Student Living and Learning, and Indiana University Student Association.
Production Manager

Final authority on all technical decisions made by the company, which include but are not limited to season calendar, performance space, and budget.

Responsible for appointing design teams with input from stage directors.

Responsible for registering the University Players as an organization though BeInvolved

Creates the Master Calendar for the entire season.

Monitors production meetings throughout the season.

Works to find performance, event, and rehearsal space.

Designs schedules and task delegations for all technical rehearsals to ensure efficient and fluid work.

Liaison between University Players and the Department Production Manager and Independent Project Committee.

Strong presence at all UP events, technical rehearsals, production meetings, and performances.

Being a member of UPs Executive Staff demands a lot of time and energy. Will you have time to set aside for UP related activities and responsibilities? This ranges from week to week and will be in flux all year round.
